Szép Ernő a legnagyobb zsonglőr, kötéltáncos, illuzionista a magyar irodalomban. A Vőlegény pedig az egyik fő attrakció. Az első felvonás szédítően kavargó burleszk, a második krimiszerűen izgalmas szerelmi párbaj, mely egyszerre gyöngéd és tébolyultan erotikus, és mindennek tetejében egy fogorvosi székben játszódik.
