Eszter Váczi & Quartet (HU)
Featuring:
Eszter Váczi - voice
Iván Gátos - Fender Rhodes, synthesizer, piano
Zoltán Schneider - guitar
Bálint Gátos - bass guitar
Lajos Gyenge - drums
The special blend of jazz, pop and chanson, combined with filmic Hungarian texts, lends a unique atmosphere to the compositions of Eszter Váczi and Quartet. Their first two albums were Platinum and Gold records in the jazz category. But it is even more important that their style captivated an audience that is not only interested in solo bravura, but also want to be part of the stories created by the texts of Eszter, in perfect harmony with the playing of the band, which nevertheless does not lack virtuosity. On 23 February, they return to Opus Jazz Club with a similarly atmospheric programme.
