Chuck és Gail az esküvőjére készül, ám Jay és Bonnie jövője nem ilyen egyértelmű, ők inkább kínpadra mennének, semhogy elismernék egymás igazát. Kapcsolatuk konfliktusok és komikus szakítások közepette zajlik. Az időközben házasságra lépett Chuck és Gail együttléte sem zavartalan, egymáshoz való alkalmazkodás terén. Így aztán addig megy a csatározás, amíg…. Szerelem azon a régi bölcsességen múlik: hogy "Soha ne feküdjetek le haraggal!", de leginkább "Ne veszítsétek el a humorérzéketeket!".

Following on the heels of the introductory Das Rheingold, this opera about the tragic love between two of Wotan's children constitutes the start of the more tightly drawn dramatic trilogy. Once again, the laws of the gods clash: can paternal love save a lad who has violated the sanctity of marriage?
