Adott egy fiatalember, aki nagyhírű külföldi egyetem hallgatója. Amikor a fiú elindult szülőhazájából, egy boldog, büszke apát, egy szép és szerető anyát és egy virágzó országot hagyott maga mögött. Hazatérve egy szabadságától megfosztott államot talál, élén a despota nagybácsival és saját anyjával. A fiatalember kutatni kezd, és megérti, hogy a legnehezebb feladatot kell magára vállalnia: feltárni és kimondani a jelen múltban gyökerező összes hazugságát.
