Egy reggel Kippkopp különleges látványra ébred: a hatalmas fenyves hófehérbe öltözött!
Ám a téli táj nem csak vidámsággal teli, a kis gesztenyefiú egy didergő, éhező Cinkére bukkan a hóban. Kippkopp útnak indul, hogy hűvös szeleken és fagyos tájakon átkelve diót keressen kis barátjának, ám ennél sokkal többet talál: házikót, csodafát, ünnepet, karácsonyt.
