A világon mindenütt szörnyek uralkodnak. Az erdő közepén van egy tisztás, ahol még nincs hatalmuk. Az erdei manók időnként összegyűlnek itt, és a Nagy Mesemondótól hallgatnak meséket. A történetekben a jó mindig legyőzi a rosszat, ez tartja távol a gonoszokat. Csakhogy idővel a Nagy Mesemondó is rettegő Félőlénnyé változott. Most azonban elindul, hogy megmentse a világot.
