A story can be told in different ways and in different settings. It is precisely for this reason that the Opera maintains two quite different productions of La bohème in its repertoire: Kálmán Nádasdy's famous staging from 1937 and Damiano Michieletto's 2012 interpretation.
The internationally known Italian opera director presents before us a map of modern Paris: its bohemians are the impetuous and lovable youths of today, and the windows of their rented flats glow with their love.

Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.

While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
