Nyári szünidőre érkezik Arkagyij, fiatal egyetemista a szülői házba, vele tart Bazarov, a természettudományokat kedvelő barát is. Mindketten hasonlóan gondolkodnak az emberről, céljuk a jelenlegi világ eltörlése és egy új világ létrehozása. Ám ez a nyár váratlan, sorsdöntő eseményeket hoz a két barát életébe, mely során életútjuk elválik egymástól. Az Apák és fiúk egy generációs látkép, egy családi panoráma, a fiatalok és idősek közötti konfliktusról szól, az elkerülhetetlen változásról és az értékek megőrzéséről.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances.
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
