Ezen a padláson „Ég és Föld között" minden megtörténhet, akár csak a mesékben. Egy fiatal tudós megszállottan dolgozik szuper intelligens számítógépén, és különféle titokzatos számításokat végez, de nyugalmát és munkáját állandóan megzavarják különféle halandó és halhatatlan lények...Presser Gábor és Sztevanovity Dusán 1986 nyarán írta meg „A padlás” című musicalt Zsennyén. 1988-ban a Vígszínházban mutatták be, az LGT együttesben akkora már összeszokott alkotópárosként működő Presser és Sztevanovity „félig mese, félig musical” műfaji megjelölésű darabját. A szerzőpároshoz, a librettó társalkotójaként, Horváth Péter drámaíró csatlakozott. A mű azóta az ország szinte valamennyi színházát bejárta. Presser Gábor szerint „talán annak köszönhető a megtisztelő fogadtatás, hogy a mű egy családi, vagy közösségi darab, amely teljesen mentes a politikától és a történelemtől”. Lámpás, a szerelmespár Rádiós és Süni, a folyton szilvás gombócot készítő Mamóka és a többiek története 9-től 99 éves korig mindenkinek szól.

A century ago, the world first encountered this remarkable opus, a work that soon became one of the cornerstones of twentieth-century musical innovation. Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.
