Mit gondoljunk azokról a tulajdonságokról, amik egyedülállóak bennünk, s amik megkülönböztetnek másoktól? Kórosnak tekintsük őket, igyekezzünk elrejteni? Bárhogy is menekülünk, a bennünk lévő érték elkapja “grabancunkat”, és lassan a társadalom számára is világossá válik, hogy nem “műhibáról” van szó…
Egy furcsa grimasszal rendelkező férfi életébe pillanthatunk bele, mely telis-tele van groteszk fordulatokkal, akárcsak mindennapjaink…

Following on the heels of the introductory Das Rheingold, this opera about the tragic love between two of Wotan's children constitutes the start of the more tightly drawn dramatic trilogy. Once again, the laws of the gods clash: can paternal love save a lad who has violated the sanctity of marriage?
